Founders Reacquire Bestronics Development and Reinstate the SPINNOV Brand

[Veldhoven, The Netherlands], [20/01/2026] – SPINNOV, the design and engineering agency founded in 2018 by Sjef Fransen and Chris Heger, has returned to full independence and is once again operating under its original name. Following a period as part of Bestronics International, the company has been reacquired by its founders, together with three strategic investors and long-term customers: Schipinvest, Brel Home, and Common Sense Holding.
In 2021, Bestronics acquired a majority stake in SPINNOV. In 2024, Bestronics underwent a restructuring following its acquisition by ING Corporate Investments and investor OxGreenfield. As part of this transaction, Bestronics International was established, with two operating companies underneath it: Bestronics and SPINNOV, which was subsequently renamed Bestronics Development.
In October 2025, Bestronics filed for bankruptcy. Bestronics Development was not included in the bankruptcy proceedings and continued its operations without interruption. In November 2025, parts of Bestronics’ activities were restarted. Throughout this period, the shareholders of Bestronics International and ING Bank worked constructively to safeguard the continuity of the development activities, engineering expertise, and core teams within Bestronics Development.
Recently, founders Sjef Fransen and Chris Heger, together with strategic customers and investors Schipinvest, Brel Home, and Common Sense Holding, successfully reacquired Bestronics Development. With this transaction, the company has fully returned to independent, founder-led ownership and has reinstated its original name: SPINNOV.
