The Egg Tracker’s purpose is to monitor the conditions in a poultry farm. The sensor is be placed randomly amongst fertilized eggs and it monitors the lifecycle of eggs and what is happening to them during incubation process.
Spinnov’s first aim was to design a reliable and robust Egg Tracker that can survive the harsh conditions of a poultry farm.
Client and Goal
In Ovo is the frontrunner in gender determination in the egg, a technology we have been working on for over 12 years. Their expertise and years of research and development have led to a fast, accurate and effective solution for hatcheries. This is how they help egg producers stay ahead of the game and comply with upcoming regulations. Their goal for this project was to go further and investigates how the transportation process acts on the egg.
Challenges
In crafting Eggtracker, Spinnov faced intricate challenges in developing its hardware. Achieving a delicate balance between compact design and robust sensor integration demanded meticulous engineering. Ensuring the device's durability and precision to accurately detect hits and noises without compromising the delicate nature of eggs presented a unique technical hurdle. Despite these challenges, Spinnov's dedication to innovation prevailed, resulting in a sophisticated hardware solution for effective egg monitoring in the agricultural industry.
