Assembly and Prototyping Specialist
About the position

The Role
You're joining SPINNOV as an Assembly and Prototyping Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for building, assembling, testing, and improving prototypes, PCB’s and pre-production systems. Based in Veldhoven, you'll collaborate with electrical engineers, software architects, and industrial designers to transform system requirements into production-ready electronic systems and products. Your PCBs won't gather dust in a lab, they'll ship in products that matter.
What are you going to do?
Assemble electrical, and electromechanical components, PCB’s and prototypes.
Build prototypes and test assemblies based on technical drawings, CAD models, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
Support engineers during the development and validation of new products and design iterations.
Create and design assembly guides
Review BOM files, review prototype production orders, order in components and work with our engineers and suppliers to get things done on time and deliver great quality.
Identify assembly issues, design improvements, and potential manufacturing challenges.
Perform functional tests and troubleshoot prototype assemblies.
Modify and improve prototypes based on test results and engineering feedback.
Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and workshop equipment.
Keep accurate documentation.
What You Bring
Foundation:
Technical education MBO (or HBO) electrical engineering / mechatronics or equivalent practical experience.
You are a hero with a soldering iron, know how to use power tools, and precision measuring equipment. You are a true maker. You are experienced in electrical, electromechanical, mechatronics assembly and prototyping.
Ability to troubleshoot and identify technical issues independently.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Good English for technical communication
Expertise in your domain:
Experience with electrical wiring, soldering, or basic electronics is a plus. It would be great if you already have experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, machining, or other prototyping techniques.
